All around the world, people and cities are shutting down to stop the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic. Now, the Center for Disease Control has recommended postponing in-person gatherings of 50 or more in the United States. These restrictions are in effect for the next 8 weeks, and will likely continue until further notice. As a result, the 2020 National Postal Forum is now cancelled.
National Postal Forum Cancelled Due to Federal Restrictions on Large Gatherings
On Sunday, March 15th, the CDC issued a statement recommending that organizers (whether groups or individuals) cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States for the next 8 weeks. The National Postal Forum would have taken place within that timeframe, with hundreds of planned attendees. However, acting in according with the CDC’s guidelines, the organization sent out an email today to its attendees formally announcing the cancellation.
Save the Date for the 2021 NPF
Despite this year’s cancellation, 2021’s National Postal Forum plans on returning with full force next year, in 2021. Next year’s NPF will take place between May 2-5, 2021 in Nashville, Tennessee.
The National Postal Forum will continue to update those who planned on attending this year in regards to registration fees, exhibit spaces, sponsorships, and advertising.
