Timothy Costello is the new Acting Vice President of Sales for the US Postal Service. He assumed this role in October 2019, after serving in a variety of leadership positions within USPS.
Duties and Responsibilities
As Acting Vice President of Sales, Costello reports to Jacqueline Strako, USPS’ Chief Customer and Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President. He oversees the direction and management of USPS’ Sales organization, as well as the customer and business support from the Business Service Network and Customer Care Centers. In addition, he is also responsible for customer acquisition, business/residential customer service support, revenue growth and retention, and business development. Costello also works to improve the Postal Service’s market competitiveness and sales for commercial mailers of all sizes. Such commercial mailers include small, medium, and large businesses.
Timothy Costello’s Background
Costello graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Business Administration and Management. He has also earned Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Villanova University, and is USPS Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified. Prior to assuming his current role, Costello served as USPS’ Major Metro District Manager of the South Florida District. Costello has also served in a variety of other leadership positions in the Postal Service, such as District Manager of the Alabama and Dallas districts, and Area Manager of Delivery Programs Support for the Eastern Area.
