Shipping Software

Easyship is a web-based shipping software and API solution. They boast over 100 different shipping integrations and higher-than-average transparency on international taxes and duties. Easyship’s API integrates with major E-commerce platforms, such as eBay, Magento, WooCommerce and more. Their website also lists several obscure integrations that no one seems to know about.

Customers praise Easyship’s user interface and how transparent the platform is when it comes to taxes and duties on international shipping. Another neat feature is that users are able to ship from the United States, Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong! However, it’s important to note that the total price you pay for shipping is based on the volume of packages you ship, and Easyship often adds hidden markups to some shipments. Easyship also acts as a global fulfillment center. They offer storage, pick and pack, and shipping services to your customers.

On initial use they seemed ok but as mentioned above the pricing isn’t as good as it could be and god forbid you have an issue; the customer service is horrendous!

So far the only plus is the shipping savings and that is not consistent. EasyShip told me I had to ship UPS 2nd day to Alaska ($75), so I went directly to USPS and saved $65.

Packing slips cannot be printed until after postage is printed, so I had to find a macro and template and design my own.

I can’t set the order the labels are printed.  I prefer alphabetical by name, but I can only print by order number.

I have 2 crowdfunding campaigns shipping together (we use both Kickstarter and Indiegogo) but once merged it doesn’t remember the 2nd one and doesn’t send tracking so I’m now left with hours of copying and pasting. The export for tracking comes out scientific numbers so I could not simple export/import with BackerKit.

Backerkit public comments are also not coming over (and you can’t add backer comments manually) so when I noted someone’s account they wanted to “please upgrade to FedEx”, it didn’t come over so it wasn’t on the packing slip and I shipped it USPS. I have a very unhappy customer.

I cannot customize the view in the manage shipments to view the weight (which is only pounds, you have to calculate fractions if you want to use first class and ounces). I have to guess based on the cost if everything is correct or click on each one. Their program is slow going between records so this is tedious, but necessary (as it’s how I caught that I was being charged $75 to Alaska).

No address validation. It only validates city, state and zip so feel free to mail to customer did not complete checkout. This was how we flagged accounts with ShipStation as they check and have a red alert. I can’t even see the address without clicking in and out in each record with EasyShip.

Nothing is brought over to tell me what orders actually paid vs shipping paid which is information I need for international orders.

Overall I think they are set up for non customized, larger businesses with set packages they want to get out the door. I find the program very restrictive I’m continuing to fulfill my current Backerkit campaign but time is money and currently we are (mostly) saving money on postage then losing it on labor.

Love it!!! My only wish is that there were more integrations. We’re development-heavy and would like to use OpenCart to power our store but Easyship doesn’t integrate.

Best Shopify integration on the market!

Terrible… Don’t put your credit card information on it. They are keep charging you the “service” what they call monthly even I don’t use it.

Love the transparency on international shipping costs, taxes, and delivery times from so many different carrier options!

Awesome for international shipping. You don’t really need to worry about customs with them, which is huge. Customer service has been great, but just wish it was a little faster. A live chat button would go a long way.
