Christine Bailey is the current Acting Vice President of the United States Postal Service. She assumed the role in October of 2020 after previously serving as the organization’s national sales executive director.

Duties and Responsibilities

As Acting Vice President, Bailey has succeeded Timothy Costello, who became the Southern Area’s acting retail and delivery operations Vice President in September. In her new role, Bailey reports to Jacqueline Strako, the Postal Service’s Chief Customer and Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President. She oversees the direction and management of USPS’ Sales organization, as well as the customer and business support from the Business Service Network and Customer Care Centers. In addition, she is also responsible for customer acquisition, business/residential customer service support, revenue growth and retention, and business development. Bailey will also work to improve the Postal Service’s market competitiveness and sales for commercial mailers of all sizes. Such commercial mailers include small, medium, and large businesses.

Christine Bailey’s Background

Bailey has been with the Postal Service for over 30 years. Previously, she worked as the national sales executive director for the entire organization. In that position, she spearheaded efforts that generated more than $15 billion in annual revenue, and led a team of 800 employees.
